Membership Terms and Conditions

Subscription

Subscribers to the Consumers Association of Ireland become members upon payment of a full annual subscription.

Subscriptions are payable in advance.

The Consumers Association of Ireland follows the provisions of the EU Directive on Distance Selling.

Membership

Membership commences upon administrative receipt and confirmation of payment. This applies to all forms of subscription.

While the Consumers Association of Ireland seeks to meet the service needs of members at all times, its resources are not infinite and this may not always be possible.

Membership Payment Options

The Consumers Association of Ireland Membership Payment Plan allows you to enjoy all the benefits of being a member of the Consumers Association of Ireland while spreading the cost of Membership over the year by direct debit. Annual subscriptions can be paid quarterly by direct debit at no extra cost

Annual Payment

This payment can either be upfront by cash, credit card or cheque on your renewal date or by annual direct debit from your bank account or credit card at the same time every year.

Quarterly Payment

Quarterly Payment Membership is based on one year’s membership; if your Direct Debit is cancelled, you must pay the balance of the outstanding month(s) in that membership year.

Direct Debit Mandate

In signing the direct debit mandate, you agree to authorise the Consumers Association of Ireland to charge your bank account/credit card by direct debit for your annual Membership cover every year. You also authorise the Consumers Association of Ireland to debit your bank account/credit card the charge for any upgrade to your membership which you instruct the Consumers Association of Ireland to apply during your Membership. This authorisation can be withdrawn by informing the Consumers Association of Ireland of this in writing and with 30 days advanced notice only.

Membership Cancellation

Cancellations of subscription must be made 30 days in advance in writing only.

Members must always quote your membership number when contacting the Consumers’ Association of Ireland office.

Refunds

Refunds, where due, will be made within 30 days following receipt of and completion of the period of notice to cancel and will be subject to deduction of administrative and any other associated costs.

Pricing

Any price changes will be advised at least 30 days in advance of the revised subscription or charge rate.

Published material

No part of any publication downloaded from Consumer Choice magazine or from the Consumers’ Association of Ireland website or uploaded from the members area of the Consumers Association of Ireland website may be reproduced or transmitted in any form without the prior permission of the CEO and editor.

No part of any Consumers’ Association of Ireland or Consumer Choice publication may be used in any form of advertising, sales, promotion or publicity.

Terms and conditions

The Consumers Association of Ireland reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions on the giving of reasonable notice.
