Consumer Choice tests toasters to ensure that the nation’s favourite breakfast is expertly done every time

We have tested a range of two- and four- slice toasters from all the major brands to bring you our six Choice Buy toasters. These will produce the perfect toast time after time. We look at the browning coverage and evenness of toasting, as well as how long this takes. We also check how versatile the toasters are and whether they can fit tall, long and thick slices of bread into the slots with ease. As with all the products we test we check how easy the toasters are to use and clean.
